Well after spending more time on the road and coming home tired again, it was still worth it all! Friday I left right around 4 from Lethbridge so I made it to Wetaskiwin around 9:30. That wasn't to bad on its own but then I still didn't make it bed till around 11 which I will admit is totally my own fault so I can't complain! I spent at least an hour on the phone with John and by then I was so tired it was time to sleep! I didn't sleep that great all night and then I had to be up at 6:30. I had to pick Lisa up at her mom & dad's place and then we needed to meet Heather by the information centre just before Edmonton... that was kinda arranged for around 7:30-7:45 and then at the Hotel where the event was at right around 8!
I got my dream picture with Shelli Gardner who is the CEO of our company and she amazed me. She had to comment on the purple thing that I had going that day. Which in the end was not totally planned out it just sorta happened! Then I was telling her about my wedding colors and stuff, and she loved the combo! Anyway enough of that! When I get home tonight I will post some pictures!
Then we were done earlier than we thought originally so I could have been home earlier but I needed to get pictures of the last few projects that were demo'd on stage so I had to wait in a line to get them which took a while! So in the mean time I left a little before 4:30 and then try to get out of Edmonton at that time without getting in a traffic jam... grrr.. So in the end I was really tired already and still had to drive 5 hours... I thought about stopping at the first Tim Horton's that I saw which was in Edmonton, but decided to wait since I had to add a bit of fuel somewhere along the way... (it is called following someone who you would expect to drive half normal but that was so not the case so in the end I used more fuel than I should have!) So Red Deer was the place to stop and then I had to get my wonderful cup of coffee to keep me awake and put a little more fuel in!
Anyway I got home in record time nothing crazy and not in the 4 1/2 hours that it usually takes me but that was ok, since about the last hour I talk to John.. other than the last 20 min or so but that wasn't to bad since I was almost home anyway! So pictures will be up later! :)

FRI 3 JUL | My Birthday Party.. :)By Alise Van de Bruinhorst |
Well I had to have one last party with some of my friends here.. since that isn't really going to happen anymore.. Anyway like usual summer is a super busy time and everyone is having picnic's with family or going camping etc. only a few came but it was still a lot of fun.. just nice to sit back and chat for an evening.. and yes I have a few pictures so I will post them eventually.. right now just a quick update before I head to bed since it is already 11:20..
Anyway, since I have to go to the Farmers Market tomorrow.. I won't make this to much longer.. But a for one of my friends it was also kinda a goodbye since he won't be able to be there with the wedding :( So that meant time for a super big hug... actually two.. ha ha! Then Alanna says to me.. are you crying... ummm no and I don't plan to start now either.. I told her I might do that to John.. ha ha :P We shall see.. right now I'm trying to be positive and upbeat about it, because after all it isn't like we will never see eachother again.. it is only a 9 hour drive (oh ya Albertan driving apparently) and we definitely hope to come up and visit.. Also you are more than welcome to come out Sunnyside way to see us..

I'm pretty relaxed at this moment in time.. actually so much so that I'm amazed since I didn't think I would be. Especially being about two weeks out from the wedding... Anyway so this morning was the last time that I will be going to the Farmers Market.. I would love to go next Saturday but from some reason I have this funny feeling that I might have things to get done and not have time to go running around for that anymore.. Thinking about it, it will be really weird not going anymore either. It has been a huge part of my life ever since I was twelve/thirteen.. so that is for about 10 years or so!
That is really crazy now that I start thinking about it! Of course I have enjoyed almost every minute of it. I have to say almost because there were definitely moments when I didn't want to get up early and go, and then the slow days at the market aren't great either, but all in all and very awesome learning experience! Gotta love sales people.. LOL :) Like when Oma comes to buy soap and wants 2 bar.. Me: Oma you should get 6 bars it is only $20 then so you save $2.50! And so what does she do, of course she has to buy all 6 :D Like the customers at the market as well!

Well anyway ignore the same title for my post.. LOL! Anyway I'm still up because I've had a busy day and have to get rid off all the thought processes before I head to bed.. mind you at this hour my brain isn't functioning anymore.. but that is beside the point.. apparently!
Anyway.. so after work today I went for coffee with one of my friends at Penny's Coffee House (again) anyway as we were leaving there were all of the sudden cop cars coming from all directions! I mean like total freak out or what! Anyway I'm not sure what exactly was going on but it was on the same street as we were.. all of the sudden there were like seven cop cars and tons of cops.. they caught some guy, who wasn't being very willing. So in the end they were yelling at him and then they almost had to drag him across the street to the car.. had him up against it for a bit.. and then had to get him in the car which proved to be another series of yelling and then literally shoving him into it! WOW! Talk about action.. I don't think I have ever been that close to it.. and I don't quite know what to think about it either..
So that is my big story for the day, anyway, then I head home and have to run in the door and run out, since I had to drop something else off.. came home ate supper quick a sec, and turned around and left to go see if I liked what the seamstress had come up with for my Bridesmaid dresses... so that was all done, and off I went to Lethbridge.. I know talk about craziness.. anyway that can be a whole post in and of it self so this is all I'm going to do for today!
I'm almost falling asleep sitting here which is really bad.. but it is 11:45 already :)

I totally only have one day left of work.. which has me super excited but at the same time I will honestly miss most of the people at work :( It has been a fantastic learning experience for me and hmm ya some of the things I learned definitely can only be learn't by experience... so not a bad thing at all!
I have really started to find that saying goodbye to everyone is the worst.. no no crying yet.. but who knows.. LOL :) I highly doubt it but right now because I'm really short on sleep who knows what will happen... funnier things have happened in the past.. Then again I have been amazed by what people are telling me.. today someone says to me.. "I will definitely miss having you around, you are one of the happiest people here".. Me: "are you serious, it is part of my job so what else am I supposed to be".. Her: " Well I can tell that the smile is not pasted on it is just part of who you are".. Ya, I guess I just never think about that one.. but it must be true because she isn't the only one who has said it to me... a certain special person in my life told me that shortly after we met as well... hmm ya who would that be.. LOL :)

YAY! I'm so happy.. but let me tell you... I'm not stressed about the wedding but I sure have been because I have to try get everything wrapped up at work before I left.. :) All day I've been super busy and running around like crazy... so now I'm super tired!! Let me tell you... Anyway I got most things done and finally I was like forget it I'm not going to finish it... sucks for the people who have to deal with the last few things but I was already at work 20 minutes after 4:30 and I had had it... I could of sat there till 5:30 but whatever I wasn't going to do that.. I feel bad but whatever.. I'm done so that is that! I won't say I don't care because I kinda do...

Well yesterday I was supposed to have gotten my pay check.. but guess what.. umm no it didn't happen... and at this point that is a bad thing...cause I so need the money to pay for a bunch of things.. so that means out comes my MC again.. grrr. I hate charging things onto it but I almost have no choice at this point anymore.. the thing is I know I have the money to pay it right off but it still sucks.
I called this morning to find out what was up and was told that they had messed up on my stuff which is why.. so now I probably won't get it till next week.. I'm sorry are you kidding me people... give me half of my money I don't care... Whatever so I explained that I'm getting married and really need to have it, so she is going to see what she can do.. :)

I will probabaly sell my car to my sis on Monday and I'm already not happy about that.. :( It is "my" awesome little car... I know that it is only a car but when it is your first and only vehicle and you just like everything about it, it really does suck! So I guess I've almost had it for 4 years now!
I don't care what anyone says at this point it is just making me grumpy thinking about it... and since I can vent on my blog that way I hopefully don't take it out on everyone else..

Well since tomorrow is the official day that I sell my car to my sister I had to clean it inside and out... and since it was pouring raining.. I figured why not just soap it up inside and park it outside to rinse... LOL :) I guess we just need to wait till it stops raining and drys to see how well that worked...
oh yes, bubbles everywhere... One thing my sister doesn't get is my floor mats! She can have whatever I don't want that I bought somewhere along the line but that isn't going to happen...
See.. after a few minutes it was practically rinsed off already.. haha!
And my floor mats get the rinse outside as well...

It makes me sad, because it is June after all and what are they getting in Calgary and saying that we will get here... SNOW!!! or white stuff, whichever you prefer to call it. Not that it would be the first time, but it hasn't happened in a long time that I can remember. I can take it in May but once we hit June... nah it should be rain (I know we don't have anything to say about that but still).
Anyway, I have some information to print for birth announcements for a friend, so I guess I have my work cut out for me tonight... who knows I may get energetic and find some other things that need doing to complete at the same time. Like packing stuff, but that all depends if I figure out what I'm doing for projects for the last stamping evening or not.
Time to run though because I'm hungry and it is suppertime after all... so more later

Well John moved in on Saturday so hence the lived in look

Yes, unfortunatly for John I put my foot down.. I get something new for after the wedding as well.. that being the quilt! So he has to make due with other blankets.. ha ha :)
When I saw this picture, the first thing that I said was "oh so the dog has a spot on your bed eh?" Anyway our bedroom suite is pretty much all there other than the night tables.. so eventually you will get pictures of that... or you can come visit some time :)

Yup I'm finally starting to get excited about the wedding! Well maybe I should change that... I have been excited all along but contained excitment because of everything that I had to get done yet... now that most of the stuff is done, I'm super excited!
I go down to the states next week so then I can deal with stuff in the house and get things sorta figured out.... So that is that for now!

Apparently, but I don't care which is an issue I think.. maybe not... ha last night after going to the topic we went out for coffee with several of us. Anyway got busy talking and it was late so I was home late, uummm I'm on my way home and get the typical call, where are you? Me: oh on my way. Them: well you are supposed to be home.. Me: Sooooo.... Them: Nothing so...: Anyway so that was that... yup the joys of my life don't you envy me.. ha ha gotta love your parents. I mean it is awesome they care buuuuuutttttt... you know I'm not going to go to the bar or movies soooooo.....
Anyway so then tonight I have a bridal shower to go to.. Them: So what time are you going to be home. Early than last night right? Me: total silence... So in the end they got no answer, but I'm home at 11 on the dot so what can they say... yup I'm home but on the computer late.. so what... not any difference in my opinion I'm still not in bed.... Just had to vent, I'm not super ticked about anything, just the general fact that I think it is kinda crazy that they are still trying to control my life when I'm leaving in how many days???? They still only control certain things the rest they have no say over no matter what they try now already.. bad I know, I know... Yup so that is my fantabulous life at the moment and I'm loving every last minute of it!

So this morning... way before I was ready to get up of course my alarm goes... I woke up thinking what day is it today.. Then Oh that is right Saturday :( So I had to get up because as it was I had kinda put it on for about last minute kinda thing so away I go... Anyway so then the reason it was a slow day... well, there was very few people at the Farmers Market today so that wasn't great for sales at all! It was awesome for having a chance to go around and chat with the other vendors though!
I took Brit along today so that was alright it worked out that way as well.. and the thing was I have to watch the annoying wounds that I got at the doctors yesterday because I had him remove three moles... yup the joys..

THU 25 JUN | Sunnyside Update.:)By Alise Van de Bruinhorst |
Well things have been busy here... All I can say is that the trip down to here sucked because I didn't have anyone else along... makes for a really long drive. Anyway so I got here yesterday evening at around 5:30 or so... made pretty good time in the end! Anyway so last night for all my saying that I was going to bed on time in the end it was late... took a bit to fall asleep even then.. Anyway so I got up around 9 this morning.. then went to the duplex to straighten up the kitchen with Katrina... Trust me this took a while since I really don't know where I want everything yet but eventually I will get it all figured out.
Then around lunch time we headed back to mom & dad's for lunch, and then to help Tori & Arlin set up the tables for the reception.. Then Katrina had a brain wave so we headed down to Prosser for some shopping which is another whole post in itself... so I will do that later because there is pictures that go with the story :)

So we got it in the car and then Katrina had to try wipe off some of the dust.. etc from the car door..
Well guess who got the honours of sitting in the back with the trunk... Cynthia.. :)
So we got to the duplex and it was time to unload our purchase... since it has rust on it etc. it is going to take a little work. So for now we put it in the garage and I will deal with it after the wedding.
So out of the car.. onto the ground then time to pick it up again and put it away...
Yup here we go!
Trying to find a good spot to park it... we figured that this would be as good as any other place.
Finally the end result! We were proud of ourselves... awesome shoppers and we even mangaged to move it all by ourselves! ha ha :)

SAT 27 JUN | Antique Shopping trip.:)By Alise Van de Bruinhorst |
So you can kinda see the antique store behind us.. we parked across the street so we had to carry it across the crosswalk to the car.. must of been a sight, but we were having fun so at that point we didn't care what anyone thought! Especially when you get a really good deal on something.. According to James we woman buy anything that we "think" is a good deal.
So here is Katrina and me carrying it.. Cynthia had the camera... And away we go!
What happened... as to how we ended up in the antique store. Well we finished helping Arlen and Tori set up at their reception site, then Katrina says.. hey I know about this purse store in Prosser do you want to go.. Cynthia and I figured sure why ever not.. So away we went. We finished checking that out.. in the end we didn't buy anything, but that was alright.. to expensive for me anyway!
Then Katina spotted then antique store as I saw the quilting store so we had two more things to do... making it a great thing to have done!
At the quilt store I got my cutting mat etc. so that worked out really well.. and then to the antique store.. where we found this trunk.. We first just walked around upstairs.. saw all kinds of things that brought back memories.. things that our Oma's have etc. such as bowls and baking dishes.. it was very interesting.. anyway then we found a stairs that went downstairs.. so we had to go check that out.
Katrina saw a chair that had a toilet seat cover on it and thought that it was actually attached to the chair. It was one of those old wooden chairs that when you take the cushion off it had a hole in the centre. Anyway so we were all doubled over with laughter.. it was to bad that we didn't take a picture of that chair because it was pretty funny.. at least to us it was.
So once we hauled the trunk over to the car, Katrina spotted a spider on the bottom.. and so she freaked out. "ah there is a spider on the bottom" I calmly take my flip flop off and killed it.. once again we all had the giggles.. come to think of it, it was pretty funny.. Anyway then we had issues because we couldn't get it to fit in the trunk of the car.. hmmm no string so we couldn't tie it down either.. so what about the back seat..
As you can see we had to try putting it in the trunk both ways.. in the end neither one worked so then out it went again! But for $25 we couldn't leave it behind.. especially not when the lady gave it to us for that price rather than $30.. all because we lugged it up the stairs and to the vehicle ourselves..
Ok, time to try the back seat.. it took a bit of figuring and I had to run to the other side and lift it up so that we could get it in, since obviously there isn't room for two of us at one door..

Well I have 5 more working days left.. unlike my ticker is telling you.. since it also counts weekends and days off! Anyway I'm getting most of my stuff done which is fantastic.. at the same time people seem to have a way of driving me crazy! I have been getting all the EPIX info (maintenance Work Order system) entered, which is a little bit of a job but it is getting there.. and I figured by Friday I will be caught up on all that.. then I have to finish training someone on that next week, and that is that!
anyway the frusturating part it that everyone figures I have nothing better to do than finish their crappy things that they don't want to do themselves, so the work keeps piling on.. and ya that is making me really grumpy! Like people... oh so you should know everything about MSOffice.. uummm ya but seriously I don't use it enough to just be able to do some random thing and change your wacked up docs...or their stupid documents that they want sent by courier.. which is fine but seriously that is one of the easiest things to do so go figure it out.. soon I won't be there and then they will so in my opinion they might as well now.. and ya of course I don't really say no to a lot of things.. but today I did.. He wanted me to look at his doc yesterday.. well i don't have time.. so I told him I would try.. he said if I didn't have time he would come get it.... so guess what I did.. I just didn't look at it.. ha ha, bad I know, but at this point I don't care!

All day at work if I laughed.. then it was my abdominal muscles.. if I went to stand up then it was the muscles in my arms.. in the vehicle when Etha was driving (she was training me for the town run) and she would go around a corner, and I leaned to either side of the seat... well lets just face it.. apparently I have way to many hurting at once.. cause doing anything and not having it hurt is almost impossible.. other than typing.. | MON 4 MAY | Saturday's Experience.... |
Well first of all.. Saturday was a very awesome day! We went with a large group to hang out with Sifra Lagendijk who will be going back to Holland tomorrow one last time. We met at school, from there to Fort Macleod to pick up some more.. and then on to Calgary. Originally the intention had been to have sometime to be able to rollerblade.. turns out things took longer than planned so for some there was time and then not for others.. so in the end no rollerblading for me 
Even though I'm not really good at it I always enjoy doing it!
So we ate lunch had time to go for a walk/the group who was rollerblading already.. about 20 minutes or so.. then we left for LaserQuest for two games of Laser Tag... The first game I pretty much struck out on my own and nailed the people who I met walking around in the maze.. let me tell you the group of little kids in there was just brutal.. it was supposed to be each on their own fighting for themselves.. uuuummm ya right.. not them little buggers.. they came with a group of 10 at you and that was it.. called running to get out of their path... anyway the first round wasn't bad.. I came in 12th.. Second Game: So we had to go through the whole rule thing twice.. which kinda sucked.. anyway so that done on went our packs again... and off we went into the maze.. yup with a ton of kids again... so we decided that we were going to gang up on them with a group of us.. uummm ya 4 of us against how many of them.. not a really great plan.. I think we did nail them many times.. but it sure didn't get me anywhere.. in the end we had a ton of fun though so that was all that mattered.. that game.. uumm like I said I didn't do nearly as well as the First game.. I think I came in 25th.. so ya not great.. Anyway so if I ever do that again.. I'm on my own... to my way of thinking that worked a lot better! Anyway we had fun so big deal!
After that we had some time so then came the discussion of what shall we do now... cause we hadn't planned to be at the Leisure Centre for a while yet... Let me tell you when you have a group that big.. it isn't great trying to decide what needs to be done!! So should be go rollerblading.. or do we go there now already.. especially cause we had to be in downtown for supper at 5:30... yak yak yak... Finally we all told Nick to tell us what he figured and that was... the Leisure Centre.. so off we went... We got there and another yak session began.. haa haa.. The pool didn't look very big.. and it was packed cause it was a Saturday and of course nice weather so what else can you expect... finally we figured we might as well find out if there is another big/nice place in Calgary.. nope.. K so in we go... There was a wave pool and water slide.. for the most part I think a lot of us spent time on the water slides... we could do the chain thingy with 5 people so that is what we did.. trying to come up with different ways to do it etc... anyway that is why I'm so sore.. I've got bruises on my hips etc. yup not great at all.. But in the end I had fun so that is all that matters..
So that was Swimming.. then the ones who were done went and sat outside waiting for the others to finish, when Alanna Schipper decided that she wanted to go check out the la Chateau outlet store.. since I had driven up with them she asked me if I wanted to go.. and I figured sure why ever not... well then we had to wait for Sifra cause she had actually come with us as well (us being Tom & Alanna, Sifra n' me.) Turned out we didn't have time or patience to wait for her so we took off to go see what we could find.. in the end Alanna found a skirt like she wanted and I found a cute dress.. white with pink polka dots.. Then off we went to supper.. turns out the Navigation thingy had the old address so we ended up on 17th instead of on on 14th.. so we had to call and then John Heikoop had to tell us what the correct address was.. blah blah blah... Ok so away we go.. yup we found it a little late but oh well blame the Nav. system..
Anyway supper info in next post cause this is getting really long.. and eventually when I get the pics from John I will post some..

This is the room where we had supper in... it is the following room...
Rabat North
A separate room, in festive Moroccan style, seats up to 30.
Nice and Cozy was forsure.. it was a squeeze but it all worked out in the end and hey we were enjoying ourselves so that is all that mattered.
So we had a 5 course meal.. which was absolutely delicious!
So it started with, a girl coming in and explaining that it is custom to have your hands washed before the meal. So she came in with hand towels which everyone got one of and that was also our napkin through out the meal. Anyway you can see the Kettle and dish on the third table from the right. So what you do is put your hands above the dish and then she pours water over your hands and you rub.. and then dry.. ha ha She told us that we were only to eat with our right hand and generally our thumb and first two fingers. On to the 1st course.. He explained to us that you get to drink it from the bowl the way your mother has always told you not to do it.. now we were talking, at least some people figured so! So first course was soup.. I didn't think I would know what kind it was but I was just looking at the menu and it was the Harira, which is an authentic Moroccan soup with lentils, chick peas, vegetables, and spices.. Second we had Morroccan Vegetable Soup which is felfla, carrots, potatoes and beets. Then our third thing was B'stilla Royale which is chicken, eggs, onions, ginger, saffron, and almonds mixed together like an omelet then it is wrapped with paper thin layers of pastry and the dusted with Icing Sugar and Cinnamon... oh so delicious... yuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmm!!!! Then we had Briq of Merguez which is spicy lamb sausages wrapped in phyllo pastry served with harissa sause and lemon. Then finally on to Entrees.. we had Couscous Royale, so that was couscous on the bottom, and vegetables on top with chicken in the middle.. and prawns and merguez.. all very yummy as well... The couscous we were supposed to put a hot sauce on and then make some of it into a mound on our plate and then into our hand and sorta shake it so that it would form into a ball and then throw it into your mouth.. he had demonstrated this for us and of course it looked so easy.. um think again.. Anyway then we also had a Lamb tagine dish.. I've been trying to figure out which one it is from the menu but I'm not sure so I guess that is that... then they come and wash everyone's hands again and then we finally got dessert, and tea or coffee.. Dessert was Braewat which is a pastry dipped in honey, stuffed with crushed almonds and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Tea was a Moroccan mint tea, and Coffee of course a Moroccan coffee.. generally they drink the tea after a meal because it helps settle the food..

I will post pictures once I get them and then you will probably get to see what all the different food looks like as well as the group picture that we took in front of the restaurant with our waiter... first he took a picture and we were trying to convince him we needed a picture with him on it.. when Maaike took the initiative and grabbed the first gentleman walking along the street and asked him to take a picture for us.. haa haa talk about being assertive Maaike.. It was great though because that really made our day!

Ok, so here you go... that is what they look like.. Yup in my wedding colors.. Coral and Chocolate Brown.. I also have Light Pink but I couldn't get the right ink for doing this because it is one of the In Colors and SU! doesn't make them in the Craft ink.. so this will work I guess.. ha ha
Yup, for once I post a picture of only me.. more like someone took a picture of me.. after I took pictures of them.. oh well my camera I do what I like.. I was stampin the & A, J, as well as the July 17, 2009 stamp. Janita was doing the flowers along the bottom which was only one stamp but she was stampin' it 3 times.. and Brit was heat setting them with the heat gun.. I do have a picture of that but just didn't feel like posting those tonight.. maybe tomorrow! Anyway that is all for now..
Which reminds me I need to take some other pictures.. So off I go!

| FRI 8 MAY | What a day/Week... |
Well work has gotten slightly more interesting since they have me doing the run now. I usually leave at about 9:30 and am back around 11 or 11:30 depending on what I have to do or pick up that day. A pretty generic day is drop off at Greyhound, Rabies Samples at the Post Office - Back and then to the front for the regular mail. From there to District Office to drop off stuff and pick up.. and then a few other stops normally. The Provincial Vet Lab which is a daily stop and then back to Greyhound to see if anything came on the bus for us.
It really makes a difference cause this gives me an hour when I first come in to do some stuff and then I go.. when I get back I don't have a ton of stuff to do.. Just unload the truck and then check messages if there is any on the switchboard.. and open mail.. pretty basic.. and then well sit around most of the afternoon cause I don't take minutes anymore so what else am I supposed to do than surf the net.. grrr.. Trust me it really sucks, I don't mind the run but I hate not having anything to do because of it!
Anyway so today was the same thing, and then after work I had some stops to make from there I had to pick up flowers from dad for mom... more like the flowers were supposed to be from us kids for mothers day and then I had to go to Hilltop Greenhouses and pick up a big hanging basket from dad which he gave to her... So in the end supper was late and well after since John was busy Janita, Brit and I worked on favours.. and now.. well I think it is time to think about going to bed.. since usually that takes a while to actually get there I guess I should seriously start doing something about that...
btw.. John is painting our house... aahhhhh! I'm excited.. I can't wait to see how that turns out... And apparently our couch and loveseat came in so he needs to get them sometime..
Tomorrow, well that will be another crazy day.. I'm going out for lunch with a friend and then plan to run in to get ties for the guys.. since I'm picky and don't like the ones we could get with the tuxes we are getting other ones... hmmm what else.. Oh ya that is right.. how could I forget! I plan to work on a quilt that I need to get done for someone else before I get married.. so we shall see how that works out for me! It is all cut out so now it is just sewing and since I figured out which blocks are going with which it will be quick and easy to do so! Anyway that is pretty much all I've got.. so toodles for now!

Well today was a very slow day at work.. so I decided that it was time to do some serious dusting around my desk and the front counter.. more because the janitor who usually does it was on holidays and so it was kinda gross.. Hans was giving me a bad time.. He asked if I was practicing for later.. ummm well I don't really think so.. ha ha.. done more than enough of that growing up so there isn't a whole lot of practicing to be done
Anyway I should go work on finishing the quilt.. mind you I won't get done tonight but hopefully I will get all the seams pressed which will be a relief.. then just laying it all out and sewing it all together and I'm pretty much done! Yay!

I can tell I have obviously not been dealing with stress as well as I thought I was... This morning I woke up with a splitting headache, so ya what did I do.. took a sick day like I could... ha ha. Anyway slept till about 10:30 then got up and though hmm maybe I should go get my hair trial done and see how that works out since I have time today... so that is what I did.. In the end after that I ran over to show Alanna cause she really wanted to see it, and from there now I'm sitting at home.. debating.. should I work on the quilt before chior or should I think about trying to find wedding decorations.. hmmm... I think it is the quilt.. anyway so that is my story for the day!

Then both of them got onto the tramp and so crack the egg it was... after a while Willard came as well so with the 5 of us.. well lets just put it this way we had a ton of fun... the only thing was apparently I weighed the least of everyone (not surprising) so I would go sailing.. ha ha It's called hanging on to the others to prevent that.. Unfortunately no pics so I can't post any of that..

So we had to be there at 8:30 and then start recording at 9ish and from there till pretty much lunch time with a quick 10 minute break. So yup more than enough singing for the day for those who are there for the whole day. At least this guy who came down from Calgary sounded like he really knew what he was doing so this way we should have a CD that finally works out! Yay! May 26, 2009

| TUE 26 MAY | I'm sick of having colds... |
Apparently I have come down with another cold which is driving me crazy.. Especially cause the weather is so nice now(finally) and then to be stuck with this..
Anyway so John was here for the weekend which was awesome.. very short but well worth it.. I guess I do miss him now but the less I think about it the better because otherwise I get all sad and grumpy.. so I'm not going there I guess... ha ha
I just started thinking about it... duh tonight is usually chior night and I can't believe that that is done and over with for me.. I'm happy in a way.. and sad on the other hand.. I always really enjoyed chior so ya whatever.... I will leave it at that. LOL

| SAT 30 MAY | After a busy week.. |
I know I always say that but it seems like this week has just been really bad. First of all Monday I went to visit a friend. I needed a distraction from the fact that John had gone home again... I was home on time so nothing crazy, just started coming down with a cold so that sucked. Then Tuesday I stayed at home.. so nothing crazy as far as that went. Wednesday.. well wasn't supposed to be anything spectacular ha ha, anyway so of course that was the night they decided to have my shower. Then Thursday night I actually went to bed way on time cause I felt so lousy! Yesterday, well I guess was great fun, ha ha
Anyway so yesterday evening I had a grad party to go to for several people who graduated from University so, first of all we had a BBQ after which we headed over to school to play Baseball or Soccer. Got back to the Vander Weide's house around ten or so. Then sat around a bonfire... it was quite the fire for a bit.. then Bruce had bought a ton of fire works for celebration so he lite those and then I pretty much went home.. and believe it or not I was home before my curfew 
Mostly because I had to get up early this morning.
Anyway so we started the Farmers Market today, so it was good to be back just slightly crazy and it sucks to do it when your tired and have a cold to boot... Anyway I had a good time this morning I bought some tea... oh crap spending more money.... it seems like that is all I do these days but what can I say. I love tea and couldn't resist and it isn't like I'm buying some random thing that won't get used so.... whatever. Anyway so that was pretty much my day because now that I'm home I'm pretty much chilling... Cause I have to go play piano for one of our neighbours. They have a grand piano and we had said that we wanted to come over sometime to play, but is just never happened so she said that we just needed to set a night and do it so today is the day.. So no talking to John at this rate... sob sob....
